fierce claws

this morning, after crying at mommy's side for a minute, she picked me up. i got excited and touched her face with my paw.

well, my claw caught her temple and she cried out and gently tried to remove me from her face. there was a lot of blood, bruising and swelling.

at least there aren't stitches!

i'm still here!

a lot of time has passed since my last post. daddy came home, so there wasn't much need for my updating because he could be with me in person.

but, i decided that it wouldn't be a bad idea to let you know what i've been up to.

my newest trick has been climbing on top of the refrigerator and then onto the top of the cupboard. there, i just lie and roll around with my head and paw hanging over. mommy laughs every time i do this.

once, i leaped across the kitchen from cupboard to cupboard. mommy and daddy didn't think i could do it, but i did. it was fun for a few minutes...and then i got afraid because i couldn't get down.

mommy did some tough-love with me: she made me climb down on my own. boy, it was scary! i won't be doing that again.

i also like climbing up on top of the cabinets in the bathroom.

last week, mommy couldn't find me. she was in the bathroom and saw lula looking up on top of the cupboard. mommy looked.

and there i was.

i got talent!

i just did something really cool. lula was walking in front of me and i leapfrogged over her! mom thought that was exciting. i guess so.

this morning, i ran around the house with pee junior in my mouth. and then i leaped from the living room floor to the top of the Jungle Chair in one bound! i'm getting good at jumping!

i've kinda tamed it down on the late-night forays into the lamp and the curtains. mom lets me do it once and that's enough. then i lay next to her and sleep. she seems happier that way.

that's about all the excitement from here!

a new place to hang out

i still loooove climbing the curtains in the middle of the night and batting around at the pullcord. it makes a fun clacking sound that makes me happy.

unfortunately, mommy is not too keen on this and resorted to getting me with a few squirts from the NO! bottle. oh well.

i found a new place where i can lie on a cool surface, hide and just be: the bathtub!

i think i scared mommy this morning when she walked in and saw me there. i just hung out on the nice, cool surface. then i heard lu meowing outside the door, and i had to go see what she was up to.

i also heard mommy watching "wonder pets" this morning and singing along with the theme song.

silly human.

i wanna play, too!

mommy FINALLY figured out this new software on her computer, after being really cranky for two days. lu and i were relieved almost as much as she was.

mommy now can play peggle nights. i love to walk across the printer, onto the computer table and stand there -- right in front of her -- and watch the excitement of balls rebounding, colors flashing and loud music. i wish i had opposable thumbs. then i could play.

this morning, after doing my morning workout of rubbing on the lamp, being sprayed with the NO! bottle and scaling the curtain, i thought i'd be nice to mommy.

i lay RIGHT next to her. my fur was right up against her face. it felt nice to feel her breathing, but i think i was suffocating her because she moved me away a little. so, i put my paw over her hand. if she tried to put her hand on my paw, i moved mine over hers, like i was protecting her.

that was nice.

pee, fly-killer!

i can add something new to my resume of tricks: fly killer.

last night, there was a big, fat fly buzzing around the house. lu leaped easily 5 feet off the floor, trying to get it, to no avail.

i chased it and chased it.

then, right when it was near mommy and the bed, i leaped up and got it! i was surprised, too. mommy is very proud of me.

of course, she wasn't too happy about me waking her at 4:45 am with my lamp and curtain climbing routine. oh well. maybe i'll take a nap.

i've earned it.

sorry i haven't posted. mommy's been bizzy with stuff. some of it involved buying food and treats for me and lu. the rest, i have no idea.

anyway, here are a coupla videos. the first one is from the end of july. and the next one is from this morning. i like the continuity of the videos because we ended with mr. cluck on the first one and started with him on the second. it was unintentional genius on mommy's part.
